What To Expect

New Here?

We would love to have you join us in proclaiming and practicing the gospel to the glory of God.

Learn about what makes Household of Faith distinct, and what you can expect as a part of this local church expression of the Body of Christ.

Sunday School:

Men & young men from the church take turns leading a discussion on a chapter of Scripture, followed by a time of corporate prayer.  Once a month we break into smaller groups instead of corporate prayer to allow for a more intimate prayer time together.

Worship service:

We share a time of worshipping the Lord together in song, usually with hymns or chorus accompanied by a piano and/or guitar.  The main sermon is given by one of the men, usually as part of expository preaching through a book of the Bible, or an occasional special topic.

There is about a 30 minute break for fellowship between services.  We are a family-integrated church, and all ages are welcome and included at all times.

Household of Faith’s preaching style is typically expository, and we work our way through a book of the Bible over a period of time.  We also mix in special topics throughout.

We believe in the plurality of elders and the importance of men leading in the church.  Therefore, several men in the church take turns preaching, and all the men (including the young men) are encourage to lead the Sunday School time.

We worship the Lord together in song, usually with hymns or choruses accompanied by a piano and/or guitar.

We embrace the bearing and discipling of children as one of our most positive, forward-thinking, kingdom-building enterprises under God.  We welcome our children to join us at all times in church, and yes, we have a lot of them!  Family size varies, but even the tiniest newborn is welcome.

There is a nursery for nursing mothers who prefer privacy, but no childcare is provided.  Jesus welcomed the children into His presence, and we want to welcome them too.
